One Day Pounamu Workshop

This is an interactive workshop where you will have the opportunity to create your own Pounamu, creating a lasting relationship between yourself and the Pounamu you will create using your own hands! Each participant will finish the day wearing their 'taonga pounamu" (pounamu treasure).

Participants will gain an insight into the ancient maori knowledge of Pounamu, how it was crafted and why it was so valued, along with other traditional maori esoteric wisdom. These teachings are not readily found anywhere else in the world.

Te Kaha is one of the few remaining tribal elders who is passing this wisdom to the next generations, and is known as "He Maangai Pounamu"; He who speaks the language of Pounamu, the ancient healing stone of Aotearoa.
