Women’s Circles:HerStory, Evolution and Relevance with Nadine McNeil
A gathering of wom[b]en, seated in a circle, the primary intentions behind this practice and ritual are:
Creating a safe space that invites: • Community • Intimacy • Solidarity • Vulnerability
All-inclusive by nature, circles embrace all women who are open to connecting with their divine feminine essence, and respects demographic differences.
In sacred circle, we honor the women, celebrate the men and always remember the children.
This offering is an opportunity to learn more about this ancient ritual, what is meant by the term holding ‘sacred space’ and provides practical tools and introduces a basic structure for those who feel called to offer circles to others.
What to bring: a journal, a pen and an amulet [or offering] to place at the center of the altar. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows you to sit comfortably for the duration of the workshop.
Nadine McNeil’s twenty-odd year career within the United Nations, serving at locations across the globe, is what guided her towards yoga, primarily as a necessary tool for self-care while serving in volatile, conflict scenarios. Her current mission includes designing and implementing a yoga module that especially supports those who tirelessly serve others through their daily work.
