Turn waste into art in this creative and hands-on workshop that gives discarded materials a beautiful new life. Participants will learn how broken glass can be transformed into smooth, decorative “sea glass” using a simple upcycling process, while discovering the environmental benefits of reusing materials that might otherwise end up in landfill.

Using a selection of pre-processed upcycled glass pieces, attendees will create their own unique windchime to take home, combining creativity, sustainability and practical crafting skills. Throughout the session, participants will gain inspiration for repurposing everyday items and learn techniques that can be used in future upcycling projects.

This workshop requires moderate fine motor skills, including the ability to tie multiple knots in string. An alternative version of the workshop is available using recycled bottle tops instead of glass, making it suitable for a wider range of audiences and settings.
