WAGFG Cooking School: Chef Jed Gerrard

If you have a passion for excellent cooking and WA produce, this intimate cooking class with WA Good Food Guide Chef of the Year 2018 Jed Gerrard is just for you.

Join Chef Jed for an incredible morning learning from one of Australia’s most exciting young chefs. Jed’s career has seen him work at Tetsuya’s Sydney and the highly regarded Wildflower at the State Buildings Perth, before taking the reins at Hearth Restaurant.

In this class, the chef will demonstrate one of his most popular, more technically difficult dishes.

You’ll then put on your aprons and cook two of the chef’s favourite dishes including a dish with either sensational Rose Mallee Wagyu beef or Glacier 51 toothfish, a unique fish used by some of the country’s top chefs; imagine a white salmon, but somewhat fleshier and denser– it’s a must-try fish, often referred to as the wagyu of the sea. Take your pick!

 Students will be treated to some wonderful WA wines from Chalari and beers during the class and leave with a recipe to recreate the dish at home.

The class will end with a shared meal and a dessert prepared by Chef Jed and you’ll also leave with a box of wonderful Autumn produce.
