The 2026 West Australian Good Food Guide Awards Night
The 2026 West Australian Good Food Guide Awards Night
On Tuesday 17 February, we’ll gather at the magnificent His Majesty’s Theatre for WA hospitality’s night of nights, the 2026 WA Good Food Guide Awards Night, and we’d love to see you there with your team. Producers, readers, industry - you're all welcome.
Arrive in Style on the Red Carpet
From 4:45 pm, the red carpet rolls out on Hay Street at His Majesty’s Theatre.
Arrive early and soak up the atmosphere. Grab a drink with your crew, whether at the His Majesty’s bar or a nearby venue, before heading inside one of Western Australia’s most iconic theatres. With two levels of seating and the grandeur His Majesty’s Theatre, this year’s venue alone will make it a night to remember.
A Ceremony Led by Two of the Best in Australian Hospitality
At 5:45 pm sharp, the celebration begins, hosted by Mike Bennie, one of Australia’s most influential drinks writers, and Alexandra Carlton, Chair of the Oceania Academy for The World’s 50 Best.
Together, they’ll guide us through a night that celebrates excellence across eating, drinking and producing in Western Australia. There will be some surprises too, but we don’t want to give too much away!
During the ceremony, we’ll officially celebrate:
• The WA Good Food Guide Top 100 and Stars
• Top 25 Bars
• Top 25 Pubs
• Our Major Award Winners
• And, for the first time, our inaugural LONG LIST, recognising 50 outstanding venues that narrowly missed the Top 100. The LONG LIST is a new addition for 2026 and one we’re incredibly proud to introduce, shining a light on venues that are absolutely worthy of our readers’ time.
Celebrations Kick on Late into the Evening
At 7:15 pm, the night moves to the official after-party at Stories Yagan Square, just an eight minute walk from the theatre.
We’ve created a very fun nightclub vibe for the party, with DJ Aslan and guests on the decks. We want you to network and party.
West Australian sparkling will be served on arrival and beer and cider will be flowing thanks to Gage Roads, alongside West Australian wines. WA cocktail legends Idle Hands will have some of their best batch cocktails flowing from the taps all night long, with Urban Jungle Spirits Co. also in the mix. Yes, there will be tequila and rum in spades, along with solid non-alcoholic options for the sober curious.
The menu delivered by the kitchen team at Stories will showcase the very best of Western Australia’s produce. Each dish celebrates the people and places behind the food, making it the perfect complement to a night of drinks, celebration and dance.
Bring Your Team, Make a Night of It
This night is about celebrating you and the team around you, the work you’ve put in, the standards you’ve held, and the contribution your venue makes to WA hospitality.
It’s a chance to step away from service, dress up, and enjoy being recognised alongside your peers.
Tickets are now on sale, and numbers are limited.
