Australian journalist, broadcaster, and author Julia Baird won her first Walkley Award for her coverage of the Australian federal election in 1998. She regularly contributes to The New York Times and The Sydney Morning Herald, and is a regular host of The Drum, a news review on ABC. Her book, Phosphorescence was named Book of the Year at the 2021 Australian Book Industry Awards.

Desi Anwar is a national journalist, TV anchor and writer, based in Jakarta. She has written multiple books published by Gramedia, including A Simple Life, Being Indonesian, Growing Pains, OFFLINE: Finding Yourself in the Age of Distractions, and The Art of Solitude.

Gillian O'Shaughnessy is an Australian journalist, writer, and presenter. She spent 25 years at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation working in radio and television news, and hosted the Afternoon Show on ABC Radio for ten years until December 2020.
