About the Artists:

- Perth Symphony Orchestra is the orchestra that breaks the rules - playing Metallica to Mozart and everything in between. PSO musicians are some of WA’s most talented orchestral musicians. Many have held principal player positions with Australia’s State Symphony Orchestras. Alongside these experienced musicians sit the cream of WA’s younger players. The combination of youthful talent with experience and musicianship is what gives PSO its unique sound and energy.

- Jessie Gordon is a very sun-shy Perth red-headed jazz singer who enjoys swing music, dancing in her kitchen to Otis Redding, eating cheese at any given opportunity and singing in the shower and every other (shaded) venue. Her main musical passions are jazz, blues and roots music. She started singing professionally at the age of 15 and has fronted big bands, jazz duos and every sized band in-between. She has toured Australia, America, South East Asia, Germany, France, Spain, Poland and the UK. She is also a 20-time Fringe World Music and Cabaret Award winner.

She has also recorded nine albums, including one with Mark Turner (Best Friends 2019), an original album (A Work of Friction 2018), two intercontinental albums entitled Berlin Nights (2017) and Unknowable Journey (2020) with Berlin band Ginger Blues, the latter of which won the German Blues Award for 2020, and most recently the eponymous Sassafras (2021).

- Singer-songwriter Phil Walley-Stack is a Noongar man raised in Country Western Australia. Phil has been performing since he was a child and is an accomplished performing artist, musician, dancer and author. Phil has traditional connections to Whadjuk, Yued, Ballardong and Wardarndi language groups.

Phil studied at the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and at the National Aboriginal Islander Skills Development Academy (NAISDA).  It was here Phil was introduced to many forms of dance and music, from traditional Aboriginal songs and dance from all over Australia to modern contemporary Jazz, Ballet and Tap. Since leaving NAISDA Phil has shared the stage with many different cultures. From this experience, he has created his unique sound influenced by Jazz, Rock, Hip Hop and his CULTURE. From here he created his first album “Strong”, a fully costumed stage show of the same name based around the album.

Phil has performed in the USA, Middle East, Germany, France, China, Indonesia and Malaysia. His ultimate goal is to take his style of music and dance to the world stage through Broadway-style productions that showcase Nyoongar and Aboriginal culture.

- Blake Williams is a Perth musician, actor, media personality, MC and voice-over artist. For a decade Blake has been heard on Perth's #1 radio station, mix94.5 and is a regular contributor to ABC720, 6PR and Channel 9.

Blake’s friendly, youthful yet professional presenting style has afforded him many varied MC engagements including hosting large-scale concerts with Zaccaria Events to black tie gala balls for various corporate awards nights.
