STITCH is an independent runway celebrating Melbourne’s underground sustainable fashion movement. It spotlights emerging designers who transform reclaimed textiles into high quality, one-of-a-kind garments, presented in a contemporary, immersive runway experience.
Gritty, cool, and creatively unruly, STITCH channels the pulse of a new culture rising in Melbourne. It is grassroots and handmade. It is slow craftsmanship and community. It steps outside the old rules of fashion and invites audiences into a raw, living studio where waste is reimagined as beauty.

The night unfolds at Keeper Brewing, a popular Brunswick brewery that fosters an incredible sense of community with their chic bar space, while honouring the origins of their craft. Guests arrive to a panel conversation with leaders in sustainable design, including ELK’s co-founder and brand director, Luke from Into Carry, Erica from BOWE, and Melanie from Let’s Get Layered. Cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, set the tone as ideas and stories flow.

As anticipation builds guests drift into a hidden warehouse. A cavern of silver and copper silos where light glints and disappears. Sound pulses through steel and shadow, settling the room into a quiet tension. The beat begins, the space exhales, and the brewery transforms into a runway. Figures emerge and recede, moving through light and darkness, unveiling garments that speak to material, maker, and the quiet power of imagination.

STITCH is the live companion to Interwoven, an independent documentary capturing this shift in Melbourne’s fashion scene, where waste becomes expressive, high-end design rooted in responsibility. Filming will take place during Melbourne Fashion Festival 2026, with festival submissions to follow.
