Since its establishment in 2007, SHMRC has developed into a world-class research conference which aims to provide student researchers with the opportunity to share their research with clinicians, researchers, fellow students and the WA health community. 

We hope to provide:
 A platform for students in the field of health and medical sciences to present their research findings to their peers, clinicians, and other health professionals
 Opportunity for students to develop invaluable skills needed in research, presentation, and professionalism
 Chance for students who are planning to do research to gain invaluable insight and guidance regarding student research
 Networking opportunities with a wide variety of clinicians and researchers in the field of health and medicine
 Range of prizes for outstanding presenters on the night
