Cantonese set menu classics honour mums at Summer Palace

From 11–13 August 2026, celebrate Mother’s Day at Summer Palace with two stunning set menu options designed for both intimate family gatherings and larger celebrations. Available for lunch and dinner, the menu for small families of 4–6 persons showcases authentic flavours inspired by the streets of Hong Kong, featuring dishes such as braised black grouper with bean curd and crispy pork belly; roasted whole Peking duck Hong Kong style; classic braised bird’s nest soup with crab meat and bamboo pith; and poached half chicken with ginger scallion oil and light soy sauce.

For larger family gatherings of up to 10 persons, guests can indulge in an even more lavish banquet including barbecue pork ribs with honey sauce; whole suckling pig – Hong Kong style, crispy shrimp wonton; braised fish maw soup with crab meat and lobster; and tender whole red grouper boiled in chicken stock soup.

Both set menus conclude with a comforting dessert of double-boiled papaya, lotus seed and white fungus with rock sugar. To make the occasion even more memorable, guests ordering the set menus will be welcomed with a glass of jasmine cold brew tea upon arrival, while mothers dining on 12 August 2026 will receive a charming jasmine tree planter as a special gift (one pot per table). Live music performances will also take place from 11.45 to 14.15 hours on the day.
