Saddle up sapphics and let’s go lesbians, SAPPHIC DISCO is teaming up with LRCP for a Go Sports! Edition on Friday 4th September!

Wear your sports team supporter fits, dress up as an athlete, or rock some activewear!
As always, themed dress is totally optional, and you're welcome to come in whatever you're most comfortable in!

Clip on your carabiner and jump in your u-haul* it’s time to party with Lesbian Run Club Perth at Verdict Upstairs at The Court! This is a silly, fun, camp, tongue-in-cheek, sapphic-focused party! We’re here to let loose, have a dance and enjoy each other’s company. We want this to be a welcoming, inclusive, warm, non-judgmental space for sapphics to socialise and party. 

Let’s celebrate the sapphics and the incredible Lesbian Run Club Perth with DJs, live performances, free lollipops, candy necklaces and bubble wands, cocktail specials, and lots of space to chill and chat at Verdict upstairs at The Court! We might also have some special sports themed surprises for you... 

Each of our rotating line up of DJs has their own unique music selections, but expect pop, club tracks, queer anthems, disco, house, hip hop and more - come to dance!

This is a sapphic focused party primarily welcoming sapphic-identified women, trans folks and gender nonconforming queer people, who are invited to come exactly as they are and enjoy the space freely. 

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on harassment, hate speech, racism, non-consensual touching, and any other behaviour that makes folks uncomfortable. If at any time you feel unsafe, please let a member of staff at Verdict (The Court) know. Anyone behaving in an unsafe manner will be evicted from the event. REMEMBER: if you see/hear something, please say something to staff immediately. 

A note on consent: anything but an enthusiastic verbal YES is not consent. Remember to ASK FOR CONSENT before you touch someone in any way at all. 

I’M A STRAIGHT MAN OR STRAIGHT PRESENTING CISGENDER QUEER MAN - CAN I ATTEND?
Straight men are encouraged not to attend, as this event simply is not intended for them. Gay and queer men may attend, but a dress code applies - you MUST wear something that obviously and clearly identifies you as a safe person e.g. colourful rainbow or glittery or strongly queer-coded clothing and make up, a PRIDE pin or badge, etc. This helps our attendees feel safe around you at a glance. If you arrive and are not dressed in line with this, please be prepared to be turned away at the door.

Gay and queer men are asked to please understand that this event is primarily a space for sapphic-identifying women, trans and gender nonconforming people, and that sapphic people do not have as many dedicated events or spaces as gay and queer men do. Keeping Sapphic Disco feeling safe and welcoming for who it was created for is our number one priority. If you are a gay or queer man wanting to attend, consider carefully whether you should take up space here. If you plan on coming, remember that this space was not created for you, behave very respectfully in the space, and keep the safety of the sapphics around you strongly in mind. You must be kind, courteous, open minded and respectful at all times. Upon arrival and entry, please be prepared for event staff to check in with you and explain the rules and intention of the event and our policies. With your help, we can keep this space feeling welcoming and safe for people who often don't feel safe at events and venues elsewhere.
