BYO Living will provide an interactive look at how traditional weaving practices can be made modern. Founded by Lim Masulin, BYO Living integrates the environmentally friendly master crafts in large-scale projects to provide energy-efficient architecture, using ultra-functional eco materials and groundbreaking concepts in both buildings and public spaces.

About BYO Living

Based in Jakarta, Lim Masulin is an active member of the Southeast Asian design community and sits on the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s architecture and design committee. He is the founder of BYO Living, the world’s first weaving technology company producing architectural works which bring artisanal craftsmanship into the future by bridging traditional techniques with innovative technologies.

BYO Living integrates the environmentally friendly master crafts in large-scale projects to provide energy-efficient architecture, using ultra-functional eco materials and groundbreaking concepts in both buildings and public spaces. In addition to BYO Living, Lim is also the founder of Chameo Couture—an accessories brand celebrated for its extraordinary handwoven bags—and his work has shown all around the world at exhibitions like Paris’ renowned Maison & Objet.

Is a seven-day event bringing together an array of local and international creatives for a series of exhibitions, installations, talks and workshops which highlight how design can be a driving force in building a better future.
