Future Design Week: Sustainism Lab x Green School Innovation Hub

03:00pm, Sat 18th May 2019

Bio-epoxy is a non-toxic epoxy resin that can be used to bond or coat almost any material. This workshop, led by Baxter Smith of Green School’s Innovation Hub, will investigate its uses in construction and fabrication with hands-on activities and several demonstration pieces.

Sustainism Lab

Is a hub for zero-waste innovation. Sustainism Lab’s journey began with the opening of Ijen, the first zero-waste restaurant in Indonesia. The Lab has enabled Potato Head to share both ideas and best practices for achieving this initiative, but also to research and develop new methods of upcycling materials.

Green School Innovation Hub

Is dedicated to hands-on, project-based education through dedicated workshops and activities geared for all ages to learn new skills, grown existing knowledge, or help mentor existing projects. Digital fabrication is also a focus as students develop their design skills and look to combine traditional hands on fabrication techniques with the opportunities offered by digital fabrication techniques.

Future Design Week

Is a seven-day event bringing together an array of local and international creatives for a series of exhibitions, installations, talks and workshops which highlight how design can be a driving force in building a better future.
