Sarah Ramsey + Tim Voutas 

For several years, Sarah and Tim have performed together in various ensembles, making this duo an exciting new project combining their shared love of improvisation and melancholy yet uplifting melodies. Their programme will feature original compositions as well as reworkings of jazz and contemporary repertoire. Tonight’s performance will also feature Ricki Malet on trumpet.

The Love Rats

Having all grown up together in Perth, Western Australia, The Love Rats have a deep musical connection that spans over 10 years, allowing for a unique, creative experience. The band lived and studied together at the prestigious James Morrison Academy of Music, where they studied under the tutelage of some of Australia’s most renowned and in demand jazz musicians. Each individual member has a unique musical voice informed by a broad taste in music, coming together as a collective to create an inspired sound. Performing new compositions and arrangements for Perth Jazz Society, this is an unmissable performance.
