To our valued customers,
Firstly, we sincerely apologise for a delay in communication and any inconvenience caused by this.The current situation is unparalleled to anything we have experienced in the last 14 years of Origin Fields. It’s taken a huge toll on our team both physically and emotionally.
After our first postponement we expected to be able to continue with Feel Alive Again on 6th March 2021. We had hoped for an easing of the health departments conditions however the unfortunate February 2021 lockdown that Perth experienced (as well as outbreaks in other Australian states) resulted in delays to any changes in health regulations relating to music festivals
Despite working tirelessly through a COVIDSafe plan with the Department of Health, it was clear the event would not be a product true to the Origin Fields standard and would not be able to meet artist and attendee expectations.

Music (and other) festivals formats, where alcohol is a primary or secondary focus, consistently present increased challenges in maintaining a COVID safe environment for the duration of the event. Departmental officers observed that whilst many events start well, the ability and/or willingness of patrons to maintain physical distancing and adhere to other public health measures is significantly reduced as alcohol consumption increases, particularly when there is a focal point of interest. This occurs despite a comprehensive COVID Event Plan and the presence of COVID Safety Marshals. As such, the following requirements apply for all festival formats;
- Maximum of 10,000 patrons.
- Maximum of 6 hours alcohol service.
- No dance area permitted.
- No visible stages, entertainment, performances or focal points of interest permitted.

We are extremely apologetic for the late notice of this postponement, but we explored every avenue including smaller venues but struggled to make this work given the lack of time and availability.
We vow to always deliver high quality events and we recognise that during this time it is imperative that we put the health and wellbeing of West Australians first, and therefore we have made the difficult decision to postpone Feel Alive Again to New Year’s Eve 2021 where we will return as Origin Fields.
All patrons have the option to keep their ticket for New Year’s Eve 2021, or request a refund through via the following FORM (https://forms.gle/RZRwMvu8TRvm8CPZA) until midnight on Sunday 14th March, 2021. Patrons who choose to hold on to tickets will be upgraded to VIP for our New Years Eve event.
We understand and apologise that some of our customers have endured a delay in refunds. We assure you that all funds have been deployed and you will receive your refund shortly.
