Skill booster sessions
Each month we have an expert speaker who delivers a skill booster session that covers a hot topic such as social media, SEO, websites, content and finances to name a few. 

This month Presenter, Ali Richards, will speak on Essential Strategies for Small Business Success.

Ali is a Senior Business Advisor with the SDBC, where she engages with a wide range of small businesses on diverse topics.

Prior to taking on this role in 2023, Ali owned and operated a hospitality venue that not only survived COVID but thrived thanks to her ability to adapt to changing circumstances. She has honed these skills through owning multiple businesses and being the mother of teenage triplets. 

Never afraid to wash dishes in her café or support business owners through complex challenges, Ali is a dynamic operator with real-world experience and current connections to the business community. 

In this session, Ali will cover the following topics:   

• Understanding your target audience 
• Content marketing and social media 
• Developing a simple marketing plan
