Trumpeter Mat Jodrell is one of the most exciting voices in Jazz today. He has recently returned to Australia after having lived in New York City for eight years, performing around the city and teaching at the prestigious Juilliard School of Music.

Returning with an all-star sextet, he’s performing the brand new album ‘Grateful’ at PIJF. Led by Mat Jodrell, the album features luminaries Jimmy Macbride (drums), Carl Mackey (saxophones), Miki Yamanaka (piano), Jordan Murray (trombone) and Sam Anning (bass).

With compositions by Jodrell and band members, this event offers world-class musicians performing intricately crafted, fresh and innovative works.
