Lucy Iffla has developed an elegant and timeless voice that belies her years. While everyone can now enjoy her music, tonight you can be among the lucky ones to celebrate her debut album in person. 
 
The PIJF is thrilled to host this launch for Lucy’s album, You Are Home. Joining Lucy on this release – and on the night – is a who’s who of Perth talent, with Matthew Gudgeon on guitar and vocals, Alistair Peel on bass, Harry Mitchell on piano, Ricki Malet on trumpet, and Ben Vanderwal on drums. 
 
After receiving the 2023 Perth Jazz Society Recording Opportunity, Lucy began cultivating and finalising original works from the past five years. According to Lucy, “The pieces are lyrically inspired by the works of Paulo Coelho, tying poetic philosophies with meaningful and relevant themes in my life.” Given her passion for a diverse range of musical styles, on this evening Lucy and her ensemble will bridge the gap between folk melodies and jazz harmonies.
