Kylie’s persona as a live performer has undergone many incarnations since she made her debut on the concert stage in 1989. Costume has always been a key feature of a Kylie concert from the first grand reveal, her costumes help set the scene for each act and many stay treasured in the memories of fans for years afterwards. Kylie’s costumes are often the final piece of the creative puzzle to fall into place, and their arrival can lead to last-minute changes to dance routines and stage entrances that have been rehearsed for months. Some never quite meet the needs of a show and are altered, adapted or replaced as the tour progresses. Created by some of the biggest names in fashion, Kylie’s costumes must withstand the rigors of performance over the life of a tour, which can last up to six months. Each costume has been carefully crafted to help project Kylie’s performance, enhance her movement  and allow her to truly transform on stage.
