About Curated Perth

Curated exists to provide a platform for choreographers to develop, practice, and showcase their artistry; in venues that have been graced by international artists, whilst connecting with likeminded creatives. Curated stands to champion artists who may find their creative voices through choreographic practice, as well as those interested in expanding their breadth of artistic connections. Ultimately, having some of Perth/Boorloo’s finest choreographers under one roof, sounded like a no-brainer, don't you agree?!

Curated: A Choreographer's Showcase celebrates the end of a week-long Curated event, beginning with Curated: Choreography Intensives and a 3 day rehearsal period with guest choreographers. The inclusion of guest choreographer intensives serves to provide further developmental and learning tools; bringing an organic exchange of practical-based knowledge, as well as theoretical insight into the guest’s devising process. 

Curated aims to provide these networks to assist in strengthening ties with the wider national and international dance community. Last year, saw the incomparable Kieran Crowe and Liana Marie come on board and share their wealth of knowledge. This year’s guests will be no different.

Dancers attending Curated: Choreography Intensives on Saturday, 11th May have the opportunity to be selected to be part of the performance pieces devised by our guest interstate choreographers for Curated: A Choreographer's Showcase.
