The Perth International Jazz Festival presents screening of Bill Frisell: A Portrait — an intimate, nuanced documentary about one of the most significant and inventive guitarists of recent decades. Tracing the development of Frisell’s music and collaborations, the film offers rare access to his creative process, featuring Paul Motian, Jim Hall, Paul Simon, Bonnie Raitt, Jason Moran, John Zorn, Jack DeJohnette, and more.

Full of live music, rare stories, and intimate moments, this is a must-see for music lovers. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Bill Frisell and award-winning filmmaker Emma Franz.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Emma Franz, Bill Frisell: A Portrait is an intimate documentary tracing the life, collaborations, and creative process of one of the most significant guitarists of our time.
