After a mammoth 2021 for Perth alt-pop act Bad Weather, with two singles (‘All I Know’ and ‘Caring Is Cool’) and a heap of live shows, including support slots for local heroes End of Fashion, The Faim, Young Robin and Death By Denim, Cal & the band are proud to let you know there's finally a debut EP on the horizon... and new single 'Cherry' is the first taste!

Bad Weather, pinned as one of the “rising names” of acts in the alt-pop genre to come out of Australia according to triple j presenter Dave Ruby-Howe on Twitter, are soon to bring you a collection of introspective songs in the form of their debut EP, forged in the fires of global and personal uncertainty, representing a creative leap for the band and channelling the essence of their previous singles into a cohesive and interconnected body of work.

The first single from the EP, ‘Cherry’, epitomizes the band’s fascination with the idiosyncrasies of 1980s and 90s guitar pop, pitting clean, warm tones against walls of lush fuzz and distortion, to create a classic quiet-verse-loud-chorus pop-rock gem, all brought together with noughties inflected synth lines and rib-rattling drums.

The track will be out on all platforms on May 20, 2022.
